We’re excited to announce that BIKEASAURUS is moving to a new location next month! The new shop, located at SE Hawthorne & 17th, will be bigger, better and easier to get to!

If you have a trailer, we hope you can join us for our Bike Move on Sunday, June 3. Meet at 1 pm for free coffee while we gather and load our trailers. Free pizza and beer will be provided at the end spot, just 14 blocks to the east. Click here for the Facebook invite.

We also have a Grand Opening Pedalpalooza Event in the works, scheduled for Sunday, June 17.

Our current location will be open regular hours through May 31. Stop by during the last week of May for our Moving Sale – 15% off everything, plus a FREE BIKEASAURUS T-SHIRT if you spend $10 or more! We plan to be open for business at our new location on June 13.

NE Sunday Parkways this weekend!

The 2012 Sunday Parkways season kicks off this Sunday, May 13 in Northeast Portland. Portland Sunday Parkways “promotes healthy active living through a series of free events opening the city’s largest public space – its streets – to walk, bike, roll, and discover active transportation.” BIKEASAURUS will be selling a variety of fun bike accessories at our booth at Woodlawn Park. The forecast calls for 95 and cloudy! Find more information, including event route here. The event runs from 11-4.

Buttonmaking at Filmed by Bike this weekend!

Filmed by Bike, Portland’s annual festival of bike-themed independent short movies, is this weekend! Friday night is the big Opening Night Street Party, featuring a beer garden, DJ Beyonda and break dancers. Films will be shown at 7, 9 and 11 pm, while the party happens outside. BIKEASAURUS will be there with a free buttonmaking station set up.

Raffles will be happening during intermissions on Friday night. You’ll have a chance to win a bunch of awesome prizes, including a BIKEASAURUS Fun Pack! Just don’t forget to buy a raffle ticket (or ten.)

This will be an awesome event for lovers of bikes, films and fun! The festivities will be happening inside and outside the Clinton Street Theater (SE 26th and Clinton.) Pedal Nation’s PDX Bicycle Show is this weekend, and BIKEASAURUS will be there taking part in the festivities. The show will include tons of bikey activities and entertainment as well as “Portland’s largest display of bicycles, gear and apparel under one roof.” Stop by the Expo Center (2060 North Marine Dr.) on Saturday (10-6) or Sunday (10-5.) $10 admission.
